The Parish of Creech St Michael is formally twinned with seven villages in the Vallée d´Auge; Manerbe, Coquainvilliers, Le Torquesne, Le Breuil-en-Auge, Fierville-les-Parcs, Manneville-le-Pipard and Ouilly-le-Vicomte.
The villages are situated either side of the D379 road between Lisieux and Pont l´Eveque in Normandy. The area is world renowned for its cheese, cider, the Calvados liquor and the beauty of its countryside.
The first contacts with the villages started in 1994 and a formal twinning agreement was signed between the Creech St Michael Parish Twinning Association and the Comite Intercommunal de Jumelage de la Vallee d'Auge in December 1995. A copy of this agreement can be seen on display in Creech St Michael Village Hall.
We organise regular social events and each year there is a formal exchange visit which in 2007 brought our French friends to Creech St Michael between 17th and 20th May. In 2006 we visited Normandy and the hospitality we received was second to none. We are planning to visit France again in 2008.
We do have great fun on these visits and at our other social events during the year. If you want any information on our forthcoming events please contact the Secretary via the Contact Us page on this website. New members are always welcome.
