The Creech St Michael Parish Twinning Association is based in the Parish of Creech St Michael, which is situated approximately three miles to the east of Taunton in Somerset, United Kingdom. A map of the Parish region can be found here.
The Parish consists of the following seven villages which are all within a few miles of the main village of Creech St Michael. An estimate of the population of each village is given to give an idea of size of our villages.

The Parish and its surrounding region is very rural with farming as the predominant industry.
There is a motorway connection (2 miles from Creech St Michael) at Junction 25 of the M5 (Taunton exit) which allows fast access northwards to Bristol (45 miles) and southwards to Exeter (30 miles).
Taunton,three miles away, has an excellent rail connection which allows London (Paddington) to be reached in only 1 hr 45 minutes, as well as fast access to the beaches of Devon and Cornwall.
The normal route from Creech St Michael to the French Twinning Association, is via Portsmouth (108 miles) and then by cross channel ferry to Caen in Normandy. From Caen it’s a 30 minute road trip to the 7 villages in the French Twinning Association, or jumelage.
French villages
The French Twinning Association is based in la vallée d’Auge, Normandy, France.
The French Association consists of seven villages situated between Lisieux and Pont l’Eveque on either side of the D379 road. A map of the French region can be found here.

The French villages are all within Le Canton de Blangy-Le-Château which is town a few kilometres to the east of Fierville-Les-Parcs.
The region is renowned for its cheese industry, especially the world famous Pont l’Eveque which is a town on the northern end of la vallée d’Auge, just five kilometres north of Manneville-La-Pipard.
Just as well known is the Calvados cider brandy, known as Le Calva, which can be sampled in many of the distilleries or farms in the area.
